COWBOYHOOD centers the Black-American cowboy to explore all that is between “40 acres and a mule,” Eadweard Muybridge’s The Horse in Motion, and reimaginings of Black determinism.
Photographs taken over the course of six months in Texas, Oklahoma, and Connecticut. Shot on B&W 120 and 35mm films. Displayed in the gallery as 16 gelatin silver prints (16x20”) mounted with 96 horseshoe nails.
